As a follow up to the great success achieved by the two yearling males we
placed into last year's Breeders Edge Auction (A.L.
Paca's Khanartist who sold for $25,000 and
A.L. Paca's Coco Robicheaux who sold for $33,000), we wanted to offer this
year's auction something even more special from our program.
Over the spring and summer, we have been watching three of our top juvenile
and yearling males develop along nicely and have been attempting to work
though which of these might be the best auction candidate. All three have
numerous positive traits. Each one is from our 2010 show string and each one
has or will definitely be making a mark in the ring, then in a breeding
program.
However, we kept asking ourselves which one is the best for this auction and
which one will portray our top quality breeding program??? Eenie, meenie,
minie, or moe? It just about came to that........when an idea hit. Why not
let “the people” decide and let it be a democratic decision (so to speak).
In other words, all three of these outstanding males will be going on stage
and you can bid for your top pick. Once that gravel hits the podium and the
auctioneer yells out “SOLD”, the highest bidder gets to choose the male best
suited for their breeding program.
What an idea! Do you breed primarily for top quality greys? No problem. What
if you want a white male to add more brightness and fleece characteristics
to your females? No problem. Or your breeding program is lacking a fine
fleeced, dense, deeply crimped brown to take to your brown, fawns and black
females? No problem.
There! Decision made. This very special lot is called “Buyer's Choice” with
you the buyer making the decision!
So, eenie, meenie, minie, or moe - which male do you want to show?
