2010 North American   Fleece   Dam   ARI

Name: A.L. Paca's Kala, Lot # 12

DOB: 9/1/09

ARI: 31702737

Color: Light Silver Grey

Sire: 2-time Champion Legend's Challenger of KPR

Dam: Bittersweet's No Ka Oi (Bay Black)

Price: SOLD for $54,000 at the 2010 Breeders Edge Auction, August 27-29, in Gainesville, VA.

Kala - as in what KAALah is she? We're so glad you asked! As in one Hawaiian use of the name, she's silver. A silver which is so pure it looks "blue grey" and so unblemished - there's no spots. Kala is also a Hawaiian girl name which means 'Princess'. So here she is, our Silver Princess.

This name has really turned out to fit her as she was called a "real show stopper" at 2010 MAPACA and an audience favorite at 2010 Futurity. Here's some more on her...

• She's sired by multi-champion Legend’s Challenger of KPR out of the renowned Royal Inca Legend line.

• Her dam is Bittersweet's No Ka Oi, one of only two black females we've liked enough to purchase over the last four years (the other is Ferrari's Burgundie who gave us A.L. Paca's Reva - see Lot 21 for more).

- No Ka Oi's sire also produced the renowned black multi-color champion Dark Shaddow.

- No Ka Oi's dam was sired by Futurity Herdsire of the Year Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, who gave us our 17-time Grey Male Champion, A.L. Paca's Revolution.

• Kala comes with a complimentary breeding to any of A.L. Paca’s outstanding males. We would recommend taking her to a spotless grey male such as our 5-time Grey Champion (4C/1R) A.L. Paca's Jackhammer (co-owned with Hart-So-Big Alpaca Farm & Alpacas of York).

Kala's a "must have" as this outstanding female is THE rare collectable for the grey connoisseur.
