To date, we have offered eighteen of
our finest females and males at auction. The first two females became the
highest selling consignments, the third was the second highest selling female
and the fourth was the highest selling female.
The four lots we entered into the
2009 Breeders Edge Auction represented our program well and totaled $100,000.
A.L. Paca's Coco Robicheaux (a brown son out of Simba) was the auction's high seller at $33,000.
At the
2010 AOBA National Auction, one of our multi-champion grey females (an A.L.
Paca's Revolution
daughter) was the the high seller at $46,000.
Of great surprise (and joy) was the
2010 Breeders Edge Auction where we bested our 2009 Breeder Edge results. Our four
lots totaled $169,000 for an average of $42,250 per alpaca. A.L. Paca's Helix Galaxy (a
Sheer Galaxy son) was the high seller at $87,000 (a huge price especially
considering he was a 6 month old juvenile). A.L. Paca's Kala (one of our
grey juvenile females) was the highest selling female at $54,000.
The average for the eighteen lots we have
consigned to auction so far is $33,075.

N/S. Yes, we bought her back - just like we did her mother
when she was young. The simple truth is that the more we showed Dawn
to people at the auction the more we liked her. Highest actual floor bid was
$15,000 but we figured she's worth more than that to us in our breeding
program. After the auction, we sent her out for breeding to Aussie
Guns -N- Roses. Should be one heck of a good cria! |
