Andy's sire is our
6-time champion, and 5-time Get of Sire winner,
Sheer Galaxy.
Galaxy only has a few crias on the ground so far (just three on our farm as of
spring 2009), but each is showing the same fleece characteristics as their sire
making us believe that Galaxy will be extremely pre-potent for fleece character
(a deep corrugation), tight staple organization, and especially brightness with
a deep and rich sheen to the fleece.
Andy's dam,
Reserve's Chessie is proving to be one of our most pre-potent dams by winning 4
first place wins in Produce-of-Dam so far. Her first cria is 9-time champion Blues Breaker
(a light fawn), her second is 4-time champion Jackhammer
(a modern rose grey), and her
third, and perhaps best, is 2-time champion Andromeda Galaxy (a dark brown) who joined his 2 brothers in
the show ring in the spring of 2009. |
